Compatible systems can be controlled through mobile apps, wall keypads and touch panels; supported voice assistants can provide additional commands. Agree the exact functions for each room rather than assuming every appliance supports every control method.

At handover, set up household accounts, test scenes such as Away and Good Night, and confirm which functions require cloud access or subscriptions. Keep local controls for essential tasks and review guest access and remote access settings with the installer.

Yes. We coordinate with architects, interior designers, builders and electrical contractors from the planning stage. Share current architectural drawings, reflected ceiling plans, lighting schedules, furniture positions and curtain details before equipment locations are approved.

Agree keypad positions, panel and rack access, ventilation, cable routes and responsibility for power supplies before walls and ceilings close. Keep a signed-off drawing revision and review changes to lights or AC equipment for compatibility before purchasing.

Apartment projects typically take a few weeks, while villa installations are phased alongside construction. This is indicative planning guidance, not a guaranteed completion date; the schedule depends on room count, scope, equipment availability and site readiness.

Plan for four stages: design approval, first-fix wiring, device installation, and programming with handover. Ask for separate dates for each stage and clarify whether the quoted duration includes procurement and civil work. Before final commissioning, ensure permanent power, the local network, lighting fixtures and compatible equipment are ready.

Allow time to test each circuit, scene and control method, demonstrate offline operation, train household members and resolve the snag list before signing off.

Ask for a power schedule covering controllers, network switches, Wi-Fi access points, security equipment and motorised devices. The electrician should verify supply requirements, circuit protection, earthing and surge protection against the selected equipment specifications.

Choose which functions must survive a power cut. A UPS for the controller and network does not automatically back up lights, AC units or curtain motors. Backup capacity and runtime must be calculated from the actual connected load, battery capacity and losses; request a stated runtime target and a handover test.

Have the installer and electrician review neutral availability at switch locations, back-box depth, panel capacity, curtain motor power and cable routes before plastering or closing ceilings. Neutral requirements vary by dimmer or switch model, and dimmable LED drivers must be compatible with the chosen controls.

Plan wired network points for fixed equipment and access points where appropriate, with routes for any required control bus and low-voltage cabling. Cable types, separation from mains and power requirements should follow the equipment specifications and the electrical design, not a universal wiring template.

Before finishes conceal the work, photograph cable routes, label both ends, test the installed cables and retain as-built drawings. Confirm any spare conduits and access panels needed for future upgrades.
